However due to the experiences in recent years of harsh winter conditions at this time making travel difficult, it has been decided to change the date for this event to the autumn time of the year. | |||||||||||||

To make the Classic Community Recognition event even more memorable to the local running community, guests, volunteers, and support personnel famous runner Rod Dixon will be a guest speaker and bring the evening up to the Olympic level as he shares world-class perspectives and experience with us. | During the past year many volunteers and support personnel have stepped up and helped to assure the Classic 10K Race Weekend's success. In recognition and appreciation of this the Classic 10K committee has a small get together to personally give thanks to those who have extended so much for the community in bringing this significant event to the local area for all to enjoy and benefit from, and in addition to donate money to the local community for needs in our own 'backyard'. | |||||||||||||

| In 2018 unfortunately, the poor weather was a major factor preventing many from attending the event, however we all applauded for them anyway. And for those who did come out and could enjoy the great food and company... well, as Frank said - this will be memorable! |
