Saturday June 12th
The Junior Classic and
The Community Health Expo
The Junior Classic (9 AM to 1:30 PM)
The Junior Classic used to be all about kids 13 years old and under. New for 2010, there are three more 1 mile races: High School Freshman and Sophomores, High School Juniors and Seniors and an Open Class Race for everyone, including adults! Add a Parent-Child relay, plus the Health Expo, and you just HAVE TO BE THERE. Directed by Olympic Gold Medal winner Frank Shorter, there are 3 age group one mile races (7 & 8, 9 & 10, 11 & 12) and shorter distance races for those that aren't ready for the mile. All races are held on the new olympic track and the milers are electronically timed. Don’t miss out on photo ops with world champions!
The Community Health Expo (9 AM to 1 PM)
Sharing the common interests of health and fitness for everyone in our community of Orange County neighborhoods, the Expo provides a central showcase for our local health providers, including medical, dental, chiropractic, massage, fitness and wellness.
The Classic 10K—Sunday June 13th
This will be the 30th running of a world class 10K road race in Orange County. Inspired by Middletown’s Olympic Gold Medal winner, Frank Shorter, the Classic 10K attracts elite and local runners alike. In what other sport can you enter the same event as a World Champion or Olympic medal winner?
The Rowley 5K Run and Walk
If 5K is your distance, you, too, can walk, run and, if you want to, compete with the world elite. High school boys and girls teams compete for the Rowley Cup.
The Food Classic
Go ahead, you deserve it! Otisville’s Bada Bing II fed more than 1,600 people at last year’s Classic and they have signed up to do it again in 2010!
