ELITE RULES AND REGISTRATION FOR THE CLASSIC 10K

Welcome, Elite Athletes and Agents!

The Classic 10K Weekend will soon be upon us this June 1st and 2nd 2019.
Please note, the procedures for elite registration and some rules for the Classic 10K have changed.


REGISTRATION

This year all elite entries must be received and qualified by the Classic 10K Elites Coordinator Dave Badolato no later than May 26th, 2019 to ensure an elite athlete gains gratis entry into the event.

Elite entries submitted after the cutoff date of May 26th, 2019 will be welcome to run the event but will be required to pay the full race day entry fee.

This policy has been put in place to better monitor Elite participation in the Classic 10K Race Weekend.

RULES

Qualifying times for Elite consideration are as follows:
Males -- 10K Finish time of 30 minutes or less within the 2018 calendar year, with qualifying event name.
Females -- 10K Finish time of 34:30 minutes or less within the 2018 calendar year with qualifying event name.

ALL REGISTERED AND ELITE NUMBERED ATHELES WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE AGE GROUP AWARDS.

Overnight accommodations will be the responsibility of the Elite athletes and/or their representation. There are many available hotels in the area that offer standard overnight rates. Due to the prime booking season, if you intend on staying overnight prior to the Classic 10K, you are highly encouraged to book your rooms well in advance.

Transportation to and from the event is the responsibility of the athletes and their representation.

As in the past, dedicated Elite locker rooms will be available.
In addition to lockers, there will be an athlete/agent reunion area provided.
There is also a dedicated area for coaches and/or agents.

IMPORTANT: For security reasons agents and/or coaches will not be permitted on the field or near the finish line without proper credentials. Please make arrangements with the Classic 10K Elites Coordinator Dave Badolato to obtain these credentials.

Again your understanding and cooperation in regard to these new procedures is expected and appreciated.
