The tobacco industry doesn't want us to know that smoking kills more people than AIDS, murder, drugs, suicide, alcohol and car crashes COMBINED!

Reality Check is: New York teenagers who want to expose the shady practices of the tobacco companies that go after us. No, we're not against smokers, just the industry that tricks us into smoking.

What we think defines us as individuals, different from what society says is the "correct behavior", has been insidiously SOLD TO US in subversive, well financed advertising, movies, video games and music videos. After all, teens are the tobacco giants' next cash cow.

That's right, by becoming addicted to smoking, and it is powerfully addicting, not a habit, BUT ADDICTING, we are their next source of profits and growth.

REALITY CHECK has teamed up with the CLASSIC 10K to create TEAM REALITY CHECK. We are looking for interested teens to join us at the race and help get the message out! If you'd like to be part of the TEAM please visit the Reality Check Booth at the Health Expo on June 8th. We'll have lots of great gifts to give to all who are part of TEAM REALITY CHECK.

HIGH SCHOOL RUNNERS:

Reality check will pay the $20 entry fee for the first 200 runners that join Team Reality Check. Just Write "Reality Check" on the top of your application for the 5K or 10K and mail it in. Then visit the Reality Check Booth at the Health Expo, BEFORE your race.
